Hi there! I’m Gayle, your friendly neighborhood Travel Agent with CocoLime Vacations, and I’m excited to kick off a brand-new blog and video series where I answer the questions I hear most often from travelers just like you.

If you’ve got a question you’d like me to answer in a future episode,  send me a quick email — I’m here to help!

Let’s dive into two of the most common questions I get:

Question #1: "If I already know what cruise or resort I want, do I really need a Travel Agent?"

Great question — and one I hear all the time!

Here’s the truth: if you already know exactly what you want, you can book it yourself. But the real question is… why wouldn’t you let a Travel Agent help you make it even better?

When you book through me, you’re not just getting a reservation. You’re getting personalized, concierge-level service — and it costs you nothing extra. That’s right. The price is the same whether you book directly with the cruise line or resort, or if you book through me. The difference is, when you book with me:

  • You could get exclusive perks like onboard credit, specialty dining, or resort upgrades.

  • You have one point of contact — me — for questions, guidance, and support before and during your trip.

  • You don’t have to spend hours on hold or navigating complicated booking systems.

  • I make sure everything goes smoothly from start to finish.

Already know what you want? No problem! You don’t even need to schedule an intake call. Just send me an email with the details, and I’ll take it from there. Easy and stress-free.

Question #2: "What if we just like booking direct? Or we saw a sale ending and booked it already?"

Totally understandable — and you still have a couple of great options:

Option 1: If you’ve booked a cruise directly with the cruise line and you haven’t paid in full yet, there’s often a window where your booking can be transferred to a Travel Agent. If that’s the case, just shoot me an email with your cruise line and booking number. I’ll check if we can get your booking transferred to me so you can still benefit from my support and services.

Option 2: If transferring isn’t possible, or if you still prefer booking direct, I have affiliate links on my website to help you find great options for:

  • Travel insurance

  • Excursions

  • Transfers

  • Even some cruise lines and Sandals Resorts

When you use those links, you’re still supporting my business — and I’m always here if you have questions along the way.

I hope this helped clear up a couple of the most common misconceptions about working with a Travel Advisor.

Have more questions? I’d love to hear them!
